The Countdown to the Ultimate ASCILITE Conference Dinner Begins!
Get ready to step back in time and bust a move into the good ol’ days because our upcoming conference dinner is bringing back the vibes of the Old Skool!
Tuesday 5th December
THEME: Old Skool (1970s / 1980s / 1990s / 2000s)
It’s not just a dinner; it’s a time-travelling experience! Dust off those platform shoes, crimp your hair, find your favourite scrunchie, and let’s rewind to the eras of funk, grunge, neon, and iconic beats! Booyah!
What to expect:
Jam to the Classics: Live band The Decoy Ducks will be cranking out the best hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s! Get ready to bust some moves on the dance floor.
Fashion Forward: Pull out that old 80s formal outfit and fluff out those bows. Think: Clueless, Fresh Prince, Dynasty, In Living Colour, Pretty Woman, Saved by the Bell, ….. Bonus points for butterfly clips and chokers! Dark lip liners, frosted eyeshadows, and glitter aplenty! Embrace the grunge or go for the glam—it’s your time to shine.
Tech Chic: Bring out your pager or flip phone and strut your stuff with the ultimate ’90s accessory. Let’s embrace the tech of yesteryear!
Gaming Area: Relive the golden age of gaming with an Old Skool Playstation on the big screen, show us how you pwn it!
Photo Booth Extravaganza: Capture the memories with themed props and backgrounds. Slay your best smize!
Best Dressed Competition: Show off your raddest retro outfit! From bell bottoms, to tie-dye, to punk, or neon 80s windbreakers, the more nostalgic, the better. Fantastic prizes await the winners!

Join us virtually and dip in and out of over 150 conference presentations from the comfort of your home or office.
Gone are the days of virtual conferences requiring 8 hours in front of the screen. ASCILITE23 is hybrid (yes you heard that right – hybrid – not just virtual or face-to-face). You can be in control of your experience thanks to this year’s complete virtual conferencing platform.
- Watch sessions live or later on demand
- Make (and export) your own notes
- Build your community through connections with participants and sponsors wherever they are through the social wall and meeting hub
